2008: Yuya Matsushita made his debut as a recording artist under Epic Records (Sony Music Japan), and also began his acting career with his first movie, Kanashii Boyfriend.
2009: Debuted as a musical / stage actor, portraying Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler, a role Yuya continued to play until 2014.
2010: Trust Me and Bird were selected as the ending themes for the popular anime series, Durarara!! and Black Butler respectively.
2011: Yuya made his debut in his first Japanese drama, Quartet, in which he played a leading role and sang the drama theme song. Additionally, he performed overseas at FanimeCon in America and as the youngest performer on stage at the Michael Jackson Tribute Live with DealZ (Siggy Jackson).
2014: Portrayed Benny in the Japanese production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway musical, In the Heights.
2015: Formed X4 and released their first mini album, XVISION.
2017: X4 performed at FanimeCon with 5 members.
2019: X4 disbanded as members pursued solo activities.
2020: Yuya debuted under J.E.T. MUSIC as YOUYA and collaborated with Korean R&B producers to release his first EP, Ghost.
2021: Performed as YOUYA in his first live concert, OVERTURE at Tokyo Disneyland’s MAIHAMA Amphitheater.
2023: Joins the Japanese production of Pacific Overtures as The Reciter, and is set to have a Billboard Live tour in Yokohama and Osaka.
